Our Home Care team supports you in maintaining your independence, whilst remaining in the familiar surroundings of your own home. Home Care is government funded or privately funded, flexible support that assists you with the tasks you are struggling with.

Home Care Packages Funding and Costs

Home Care Funding is provided by the Commonwealth Government to those eligible, to cover the costs of the services you need to help you live with confidence. The funding also pays for the administration and care management that we provide. The approximate funding amounts depend on the funding level you receive. Costs include package management, care management, and the cost of the services you choose. These costs are deducted from the funding you are allocated, and statements are provided monthly.

Package Management Cost

Package management is the administration in relation to your funding and includes things such as financial management and government reporting requirements.

Care Management Cost

Care management is the evaluation and assessment, by our staff, of the care and services that will best help you maintain your quality of life.

It also covers setting up those services, monitoring and adjusting them, and coordinating service provision. Please be aware that all Home Care Packages still require a level of care management.

A Care Partner is a trained aged care professional who works alongside you to:

  • Coordinate and manage services across the three service types
  • Develop and monitor personalised care plans that reflect your goals, preferences, and reablement needs
  • Support wellness and independence, advocating for you and your aged related care needs
  • Guide budget use, helping you understand and optimise your quarterly funding allocation
  • Act as the primary point of contact for care-related decisions, referrals, and service adjustments

Service Coordinators are based in our central office and provide phone assistance to coordinate your care services during office hours.

An Income Tested Care Fee is a personal contribution some people pay toward their Home Care Package, based on how much income they earn. It's not charged to everyone and is calculated by Services Australia.
