If you hold a DVA Gold Card, you are eligible for all home care services. If you hold a White Card, you are eligible for services related to your accepted conditions. War widows and widowers with a Gold Card are also eligible. If you are unsure, call us on 1300 133 291 and we will help you confirm your entitlements.

For eligible Gold and White Card holders, DVA-funded services are provided at no cost to you. There are no co-payments required for the services covered under your card.

Yes. A referral is issued by DVA, usually following an assessment arranged through your GP or by calling DVA directly on 1800 838 372. Once you have a referral, you can request Chris Barnard Health as your provider.

War widows and widowers who hold a DVA Gold Card are eligible in their own right. Spouses of living veterans are generally not covered under DVA but may be eligible for other government-funded programs such as Support at Home. We can help you explore all options.

Once we receive your referral from DVA, one of our care coordinators will contact you within two business days to arrange an assessment. Care typically begins within one to two weeks of assessment, depending on your needs.

We provide DVA home care services across Melbourne and Victoria, Hobart and Tasmania, and Sydney. If you are outside these areas, contact us and we will let you know whether we can assist or refer you to a suitable provider.
